Took a trip to Portland, OR then to Cannon Beach, OR.

I needed that.

Over the course of 1.5 hours I took 133 pictures at Lan Su Chinese Garden in Portland. That felt good. I also took pictures in and around Cannon beach, only 118 and still need to go through those and pick out the ones I like best.

Hope folks like the few I posted.

I'm in it deep.

I feel like all my sketches are crap, not that it helps that my scanner is being obnoxious. Every time I want to take pictures I don't have my camera or the battery is dead. I've come across a meme that has you take an old drawing and re-do it and I think I might take on that, could help.

Feh. Creativity and motivation have become rather elusive for too long and I wonder if its worth holding onto. But then I get these flashes, these ideas but I'm not in a position to act upon it.

I don't know but  I needed to ramble and vent and just get that out.

*sigh*
I hope this passes.

So, between crazy work and lazy days, I've finally uploaded some of the pictures I took at the Japanese Garden in Seattle, WA.

I glad people have Favorited several of the images but I would also LOVE if people actually left comments. Its not like its hard; if you like the picture enough to favorite it then is it so hard to say something about it? I don't expect a lengthy complicated review or something but a few words about why you like it would be nice. Heck, DA even reminds you to leave a comment when you favorite a picture. Granted if the image already has a ton of comments and you don't really have anything constructive to add then I understand not leaving a comment.

Personally, I've shared very little of my photography with others until I started posting here, and the reason I post them here is that I do want feedback. I want to know what people think, why they like something, if there is something they think could have been better or even if they don't like something.

*sigh*

Don't mind my little rant, I'm going to go back to my doodles and scribbles.

Have a nice day.

I'm thinking about picking through some of my photos and changing them to stock (or whatever the options are) and remove the watermark. But I'm not sure what would be gained from it. I'm a tad possessive of my work but I think some would like to be able to use them. Of course, no one has requested the use of any of my images... so perhaps not.

It'd also be nice to receive feedback on them... guess I need to get myself out there more.

I've dabbled in some photography recently, as the latest additions to my gallery would indicate. Of course it hasn't helped that I misplaced the super long pass-code for the network so couldn't hook up my scanner, then had my hard drive die - I was able to save all my files so yay ^^ but I was without for 2.5 weeks. >.<

In a few weeks I'll be going to Sakura Con in Seattle; now my costume for Emerald City Comic Con hadn't gotten finished in time so I didn't get to wear it but I still had a blast. Anyway, it'll be done for Sakura Con and hopefully I'll get some great pictures.

I can not wait for ECCC (Emerald City Comic Con [link] ) ^_^

Hopefully I'll be able to get all three days off but as it stands I'm only getting Sunday off from work *sigh* So the geek that I am will be wearing a costume; I'm going as Keres [link] from Fey Winds by Nicole a.k.a. lelenia [link] Its the same character as I went as last year but with an improved dress, there were some technical difficulties with the one from last year >.< I'll try to get some good pics and I'll put them up along with sending them to Nicole. And hopefully this year I'll keep track of who takes pics of me - particularly artists because several did and I kicked myself afterward for not getting their info.

I'm also hoping this project will get me out of my box and creative rut, along with some challenges some deviant artists have put up - if I ever get around to working on them >.>

I had planned to keep adding more, but I lost momentum and then the holidays descended. Not excuses precisely, just the fact of the matter. Though right now the issue is my scanner is down.

I could up load more of my photos but I've not the inclination to do that right now. Perhaps another time. There is a lack of focus.

I'll be trying in the next few days (weeks with the way things go) to load some stuff; we'll see how that goes.

I wasn't planning on adding so much of my photography. Of course, I have a ton of photos I've taken over the years; many of which are not in digital format and those are some of my best sadly. Perhaps I ought to fix that. Really though, anything that allows me to be visual seems to work as a creative outlet. Though, it doesn't help that I've been very disappointed in my drawings of late; meh, my own worse critic, but we all do that.

And for some strange reason I can't go back to the previous menu on the emotions menu... its rather annoying.

Just saying hi.

I've finally done it, finally created a DeviantART account; it took me forever on deciding to this or not. I know, what's to decide, its a decent site for sharing one's artwork with the world; yeah well, I'm a coward. I'm terribly unsure about my stuff so I am hesitant to share it. So now I just hope for constructive feedback.

And as soon as I get my bloody scanner working again, I'll add some more stuff.
